Film formation technology on plastic substrates and troubleshooting measures.
How to form an inorganic thin film on a plastic substrate? How to control its parameter settings, composition, and structure?
**Abstract of the Lecture** Functional plastics, which have functional inorganic materials formed on their surfaces, are gradually replacing traditional inorganic materials in various fields such as electronics, information and displays, automotive, environment, energy, living materials, and biomedical applications. However, compared to glass, plastics have relatively limited temperature conditions for substrate during film formation, making the film formation technology challenging. Additionally, due to their low surface energy, it is difficult to ensure adhesion with inorganic material films, and controlling the growth of inorganic films is also challenging. In this seminar, we will outline conventional technologies for inorganic film formation on plastic substrates and discuss solutions to the challenges and future developments.
